Money, Politics, Ethics and a Solution
A conversation with Jeff Mangan, founder of Montana’s Transparent Election Initiative
Founder and President of The Transparent Election Initiative Jeff Mangan joins the Project on Ethics in Political Communication for an online conversation with Project Director Peter Loge on Tuesday, October 20 at 12:00pm ET to discuss ethics and transparency surrounding corporate spending in campaigns ahead of the midterm elections.
The Transparent Election Initiative is a 501 c(4) grassroots organization founded in Montana and committed to ending the influence of corporate and dark money in politics. As the founder and president, Jeff has spearheaded the Montana ballot initiative I-194, The Montana Plan, which would eliminate anonymous money in Montana politics, curb election spending by “artificial persons,” and put Montanans’ voices back at the center.
