Former Governor Racicot is the new chair of Our Republican Legacy, an organization that says it “promotes Unity, the Constitution, Fiscal Responsibility, Free Enterprise, and Peace through Strength.” In a release announcing his new role, Racicot said, “This is a moment to recommit to what drew many of us to public service in the first place — building a party that is rooted in character, civility,  respect for the rule of law, and fidelity to the Constitution…”

Marc Racicot served as Montana Governor from 1993 - 2001 and served as Chair of the Republican National Committee from 2001 - 2003. He has been a vocal critic of President Trump. His endorsment of Joe Biden in 2020 led the Montana Republican Party to censure Racicot in 2023.
